Works really well to defend any sort of generalized statements the author makes, right?īecause in the conclusion part, the author, employing quite intimidating words said: ". as always, the personality traits mentioned in this book are generalizations - there are always exceptions to the rule and ultimately everyone is individual." Literally, any statement she made can be considered not guilty given that, the author, at the very beginning of the book stated: ". "It's just a lot of guys wished their past mistakes, bad habits, etc were forgotten.", for instance. There are examples the author talked about which are relatable. It is true that even speaking against oppression when it is culturally embedded can be a huge act of bravery, but tolerating the oppression is ANYTHING BUT STRENGTH! Moreover, the way she portrayed the inability to protest against systematic oppression caused by patriarchy is problematic as well. Starting from the author's ignorance or the tendency of not paying enough attention to alternative sexualities to lack of knowledge about depression. There are so many things wrong with the book.
